September 11th Memorial Service

The Borough of Closter is inviting the community to its 911 Memorial Service on Saturday, September 11th. The service begins at 8:30 a.m. and is held at the 911 Memorial located on the corner of Cedar Lane and Harrington Avenue.

The 911 Memorial, completed in 2004, has continued to host annual services to honor and remember all of the Americans who have made sacrifices to provide the freedom we so cherish. This Memorial stands as a moment in time when at precisely 8:46 a.m. a beam of sunlight illuminates a piece of steel recovered from the World Trade Center, signifying the moment that our lives were changed.
